I have made a diff file, posted here:

      * http://www.youplala.net/~will/htpc/X/working-black.diff

The only thing of notice (outside the EDID and screen physical size stuff) could be the following:

        -(II) intel(0): Current clock rate multiplier: 1
        +(II) intel(0): Current clock rate multiplier: 8

Would that be a good indication ?
