I had the opportunity to play with an N800 just yesterday.  Graphics
and user interface feels much snappier than the OLPC.

May be partly because of the lower resolution, but I'm surprised,
considering that the OMAP2 should be a bit slower than the Geode LX.

I don't know much about the N800.  Is the X server kdrive based?
Does the GTK theme use Cairo?
