I want to compile gtk+ on my linux RH 7 system. I have been doing everything by hand and doing fairly well. My question is what libraries are needed for minimal X use ? What is needed for a cairo X backend and for gtk+ to function? I have 4.6.0 and the system said it's too old so I think X11R7.1 might be what I'm looking for. Bill
