Enabling Page Flipping

I've been reading up ( a little ) on performance settings for Radeons,
and I've come across the 'EnablePageFlip' option.
I put the line:
Option "EnablePageFlip" "on"
in the Device section of my xorg.conf and restart X, but I still get:
(II) RADEON(0): Page flipping disabled
in my X log. I've tried swapping the "on" for "1" - no difference.
Also, while X logs details of other options that I enable ( for
example AccelDFS, etc ), there is no mention of the 'EnablePageFlip'
option - not even a note that this option is not used.
Is this not supported on my card ( Radeon X700 mobility )?
