Well, it looks like my receiver is at fault. I connected my DVD player
to my receiver's SVideo input, and I saw nothing on my TV.
I've ordered a $12 cable online which claims to convert between SVideo
and my crappy TV's RCA input. If it doesn't work, I'll post my config
and logs,
