Thank you Intel!

I bought an HP DC7600 (EN259UT), with the Intel GMA 950 and an HP ADD2 
adapter. At long last I have decent video performance on a DVI LCD (I 
can play TORCS), with no weird binary kernel modules or xorg.conf voodoo.

Everything works very nicely on FC6, "out of the box".

The only catch is that ADD2 cards only work with "DDC/CI" LCDs - not all 
LCDs have that. (NEC Multisyncs do.)
