Hmm, what about

setxkbmap -print

Although the output is intended for xkbcomp, but it shows me what
options I currently have.

$ setxkbmap -print
xkb_keymap {
        xkb_keycodes  { include "xfree86+aliases(qwerty)"       };
        xkb_types     { include "complete"      };
        xkb_compat    { include "complete"      };
        xkb_symbols   { include "pc+us+ctrl(nocaps)+compose(rwin)"      };
        xkb_geometry  { include "pc(pc105)"     };
};
