keyboard has garbage after X exits

Using latest xserver and latest xf86-input-keyboard on NetBSD.

I ran X but no fonts so it exited.

Now back in console and when I type at keyboard it shows some high ascii
characters.

Like pressing "w" shows my shells "I-Search:" prompt (normally is CTRL-R)

Starting X from a remote login fixes it (I fixed FontPath to make sure
X doesn't fail).

And when I exit X with CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE, all is good.

p.s. X is working for me on NetBSD :) I guess I may be the very first
person to use the new "modular" X.org on NetBSD. I committed a few minor
fixes today for it.
