In case the announcements last week were too subtle, RC2 did go out on Friday.
Barring any major apocalypses, RC3 will be May 12 (less than two weeks from
now) and the final release will go out on May 19.
If you haven't tested your favorite bits yet I _highly_ recommend doing so.
We currently have 34 open bugs on the blocker list:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/showdependencytree.cgi?id=5041&hide_resolved=1
Of these, only a few are really severe enough to hold up the release, IMO:
3561 [---, xorg-team at lists.x.org] -RECORD extension causes X server crash.
I think I have the patch for this laying around somewhere, need to come up
with a testcase though.
4139 [---, xorg-team at lists.x.org] -Reading Video BIOS using xf86ReadPciBIOS
results in system hang.
This might be fixed by the fix for #6751.
5209 [---, michel at daenzer.net] -No APM or ACPI support in modular tree.
Attached patch looks good I think.
5502 [---, xorg-team at lists.x.org] -xorgcfg no longer works with X.Org 6.9/7.0.
Think I have have a handle on this one.
6463 [---, krh at bitplanet.net] -AIGLX+radeon+FreeBSD hang on startup.
Bleh. Might need to turn AIGLX off by default.
For the rest, if we get patches for them before RC3 I'm happy to include them,
but I'm not going to delay the release for them. Please ask for permission
before checking anything (besides doc fixes) into the 1.1 branch.
