Dealing with git - MAKING PROGRESS; STILL NEED MORE HELP

I managed to figure this out. My git exec directory was not set
correctly. I misconfigured it in the git makefile. So now I
am able to make a local copy of the compositeproto workspace.
Thanks to Daniel and Keith for helping me get this far!
