I've just created this branch for the on-going PCI-rework.  The code
currently in the branch is farther along than the previous patch that I
posted to the list, but it is still not even beta quality.

I the next few days I will also be migrating the MGA driver to git and
creating a pci-rework branch there.  I'm having some trouble with
parsecvs, but the transition should be smooth once that is resolved.
