Can't zoom (A-C-KP-+) with Radeon driver

For some reason I can no longer zoom using Alt-Ctrl-KP-Plus and
Alt-Ctrl-KP-minus with my Radeon 9600. All I get is the following line
in Xorg.log:

RADEONHandleMessage(0, "KeyEventMessage", "-VMode", retmsg)

I have the following in my xorg.conf file:

Section "ServerLayout"
         Identifier     "single head configuration"
         Screen      0  "Screen0" 0 0
         InputDevice    "Mouse0" "CorePointer"
         InputDevice    "Keyboard0" "CoreKeyboard"
         Option         "DontZoom" "off"
EndSection

and this is confirmed in Xorg.0.log:

X Window System Version 7.1.0
Release Date: 22 May 2006
X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0, Release 7.1
Build Operating System: Linux 2.6.9-34.ELsmp i686 Red Hat, Inc.
Current Operating System: Linux surfer 2.6.16.20 #3 PREEMPT Sat Jun 17

...
(==) RgbPath set to "/usr/share/X11/rgb"
(==) ModulePath set to "/usr/lib/xorg/modules"
(**) Option "DontZoom" "off"
(II) Open ACPI successful (/var/run/acpid.socket)

This *used* to work, so I am at a loss to explain this. I can still
change resolutions with xvidtune.
