always "cannot read V_BIOS" for the secondary video card

Hello. I have been using dual-monitor, dual-video card for my machine
(onboard i810 video card plus one SiS 300 PCI/AGP card sitting on a PCI
slot) for one year using an ealier version of xorg/gentoo (could be 6.8.0)
and the second card never gets intialized after I switched to SuSE 10.1
bundled with xorg 6.9.0.

If I use BIOS to set the primary video card to be on-board AGP card, X
activate the on-board AGP card okay, loades int10 for the second card (SiS)
and complain "cannot read V_BIOS", followed by a lot of other error messages
that looks pretty like X knows nothing about the card (wrong memory
allocation...). If I use BIOS set the primary card to be PCI card the same
happens, X activate the SiS PCI/AGP card okay, loads int10 for the second
card (on-board i810 AGP), complain "cannot read V_BIOS" and followed by a
lot of other errors. Anyway, the second card alwasy complain "cannot read
V_BIOS" no matter which one is the second card.

Other info: Frame Buffer console is started in the begining for both card
okay. X always starts okay without the second card. It is always not
possible to start the second card even if I tell X to ignore the primary
card by removing primary card from xorg.conf SERVER LAYOUT section.

Any hint on what to do next? I am blind to hardware stuff but I think if
int10 simply don't know where is V_BIOS I can try get the location of BIOS
and tell int10 by using "BiosLocation" option. I can first boot the computer
with PCI card as primary, get the BIOS location info (because in this case X
can start on this card), reboot using on-board card as primary, and tell
int10 where to look for BIOS for the PCI card. This is simply a dumb guess,
if it make sense to you please let me know how to do it.
