Hi Martin,

Thanks for your reply. I dont know what more too add other than saying 
when I try installing Fedora Core 1 on these machines Anaconda displays 
a garbaged screen.

If I can get it to install in text mode then I will try what you suggest.

I will try it when I get back home in the week.
