I have a Nvidia 6800 GPU and there seems to be something wrong with
wobbly.c, several others and myself have found that if a window is moved
rapidly and released the wobble then takes time to settle before the
window is active (or can be used). I have been trying to fix this issue
and have come across some interesting things;

1. If a simple OpenGL program is running (e.g. neverball) then the
wobbly issues seem to resolve (as long as the program is running)
2. glxcompmgr works fine and doesn't suffer from these problems

I only found out about glxcompmgr working recently; I plan to compare
the wobbly.c code of both apps and try to create a patch but I just
thought I should let you know, time for bed.

Thanks,
Ahmed.
