We use the SBUS framework under Linux for the sunffb and suncg6 X.org
drivers, the X server really doesn't need to know the distinction. We
use the same mmap() offsets as Sun does, and it's just "open some
device file and mmap() at known offsets" plus some machinery to get
the OBP firmware properties.

I would very much classify this as handled already.
