Hi Simon,

I don't have much background in X, but I did take a look at the
changes you made when you posted them previously, and I remember
thinking that they seemed definitely superior to the current version.
I unfortuantely had to replace some hardware in my workstation that
had a build with your patch and haven't had time to play with it
again.

While we're talking about pointer features, one feature that I've
been jonzeing for is the ability to set different pointer speed and
acceleration parameteres for different pointer devices.  I'm a
TrackPoint junkie, but they tend to have much lower resolution than
mice.  When I have both I have to constantly change parameters to
match what I'm doing.
