#9154 wasn't really "the xcompmgr bug"; it was just a bug that nobody
observed anything else triggering. That's because xcompmgr does more
comprehensive X error handling than most apps: in the case we fixed,
most apps would just die. :-)

As others observed, obviously some people are using xcompmgr, or we
wouldn't have found this bug. :-)
