No, the numbers are not swapped. In mode 1 mplayer ended up dropping 
about 30% of the frames, which is why it uses less user and real time.
Cpu runs at 100% with no idle in mode 1.

In mode 4, cpu is at about 88% with 12% idle, and no frame drop. The 
significant thing is that the system cpu time on Xorg is cut in half, 
even though its processing more frames.
