xkb and VT switching - please help!

Daniel,

This is exactly what I tried, but xkb wouldn't recognize either AltR or
CtrlL in the key combination (they were just ignored if I specified them).

Create a new type called ALTR+CTRLL or whatever (in the types/
> directory), and then change Fx to be of that type, rather than CTRL+ALT.
