To answer my question, it appears to come from xserver/font/alias/misc/fonts.alias Also, when I did not have this my wsfb server exited (due to missing "fixed") but never restored my console or keyboard. So I could not type (it caused garbage) and had to physically reboot. (This happened a few times). Should I file a bug for this? Or this already known?
