Rant about ATI

Hi all,

I can fully understand the sentiments here. I've had similar frustration with
Ati (I have an Ati Mobility X600 card). I also see why the post is
inappropriate here. Afterall this ML is about the development work on X.

This highlights something that I've always found odd about X, there is no user
ML. A lot of times I have questions that really don't belong here and so do
others. I know that the usual response is to ask questions on MLs or forums
provided by one's distro but there are more and more heterogenous
distributions like Gentoo, Ubuntu. Increasingly questions and solutions to X
problems are becoming more and more generic.

Wouldn't it be nice if people like us didn't bug you guys but we still had a
place to discuss all things X? :)

Regards,

Marek Wawrzyczny
