EXA, XGL, mesa-solo ???

Can someone explain the current development roadmap? I know Novell is
working on XGL. Eric is working of EXA. I think mesa-solo got lost
somewhere last year. Are all these models mutually exclusive? I thought
the goal of all this was to get device handling out of X and into the
lower levels like the kernel and mesa? It would be a shame if there was
not one goal that everyone can work on.
