X.org no longer sees extra buttons?

Interestingly enough, *this* is no longer working for me.
I had this configuration in my xorg.conf, however, currently scrolling the
wheel on my mouse scrolls sideways, and the side buttons scroll up and down.

Running xmodmap has no obvious effect.
