What happened to the "XDM-AUTHORIZATION-2" authentification scheme ?

It was put aside due to a lack of interest, sample implementation, and
sufficient crypto expertise to make sure it wasn't doing something stupid.

If/when all three of those missing pieces are put together, it's a reasonable
thing to do - no one objected to the concept, the objections were only to
declaring it standard without testing or any other assurance it was sound.
