X Server for StrongARM

Hi,

I am trying to get X Server (Xfbdev) to work on our strong ARM based
machine. The display is 16-bit LCD. I obtained the X server source
code from the freedesktop.org's CVS and got it cross-compiled
successfully. I have used arm-linux-gcc with 3.3.2 version.

When I try to run the Xfbdev, I get to see some strange things on the
screen, instead of the X mouse cursor. I am able to run the Xfbdev,
obtained from the XFree86 CVS pool properly. For this I had followed
the instructions from the handhelds.org website.

Now I want to use the X server from X.org and make use of the
composite manager and other new features.

I configrued and compiled Xfbdev in the following way:
$ ./autogen.sh --host=arm-linux
--prefix=/home/santhosh/builds/kdrive/build --enable-composite
--disable-ipv6 --disable-screensaver --disable-xdmcp
--disable-xdm-auth-1
$ make
I have also compiled all the other things mentioned in the
freedesktop.org website.

Has anybody here got the Xfbdev to work propely on a handheld? Have I
missed anything from the things mentioned above? If so, somebody
please reply me back.

Thanks in advance.
