XF86Audio not working in certain cases

maybe, but wouldn't that mean that I wouldn't be able to switch to a
VT, or kill X while in ET? Besides, when I open the et console, I can
type in it, but I can use the audio keys. Also, if I use lineakd to
talk directly to the audio program "binding xmms --next" to a key for
instance, instead the audio keys with xmodmap, it works even when the
mouse is grabbed.
