Yes.  I had to update some really old bits on the README.Solaris and
am sure others need to be revisited as well, but don't think anyone has
organized a concerted effort to do that.

I think there's a consensus to try to move everything to something XML 
based, probably DocBook, but no one has started working on it that I've
seen.   It's a big task, and probably needs to be organized into chunks that
can be split out among a number of volunteers.
