Two problems with CVS head

All,

I have found two problems with CVS head. One is a SCO specific issue,
the other applies to any non-C99 system. Its a bug in Mesa. See
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5315 for details.
I doubt it will be acceptable to re-imnport Mesa at this point in
the process, but the attached patch fixes the problem more surgically.

The SCO patches are required to compile on SCO correctly. I know we
are in ultra-tight change mode but this affects no-one other than
SCO platforms, and without it, renders all the hard work I did to
make 6.9 compile on SCO useless.
