video playback on ATI Rage 3D Pro

Yes, I am aware the Rage Pro is *old*.

However, according to ATIs specs it should be able to do scaling and partly
motion comp in hardware. Is this implemented in the "ati" xserver? 

(I hooked up my dvb-t box to my secondary machine planned to become a VDR.)
