Xorg 7.0 RC3 (and 1 & 2): Can't start X on PCI Radeon

Hi,
I've attempted to resolve this issue using both the Gentoo forums and
Google, but neither seem to lead me to the right place.
I have two video cards in my computer, an AGP ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon
(R100) and a PCI Radeon 7000/VE (RV100). Ever since making the switch to
Xorg 7.0 RC1 (in an effort to fix another problem I've been having), I have
been unable to start X on the PCI card. Attempts to do so simply end in an
infinite loop, with "(EE) RADEON(0): Idle timed out, resetting engine..."
filling the end of the log. Commenting out various modules and options does
not seem to make a difference, nor does moving the card to a different PCI
slot. It seems it might be related to bug #4989[1], but the neither the bug
report nor the only e-mail about it I could find[2] seemed to have any
resolution/suggestions. It's not just "sometimes" for me, it's everytime I
try to start w/ the PCI card. AGP one works fine though. (Better than
before, even. :-))
As you probably guessed, I'm running Gentoo, and using kernel
2.6.14-gentoo-r4. My xorg.conf and log can be found here:
http://s88382932.onlinehome.us/files/xorg.conf
http://s88382932.onlinehome.us/files/Xorg.0.log
If there's anything I can do to help get this fixed for 7.0 final (or any
solutions already known), I'm all ears.
Thanks,
Ricky
