I haven't tried the quake demo, don't have it here, but tuxracer is 
like less than one frame a second, taking about 30 seconds to get the 
mouse postioned on the quit button, and then x has to be restarted as 
it doesn't restore the default settings.  I haven't attempted to 
explore it any farther than that since it was obviously unplayable.
