Summary: RFE: Enable the FreeType2 bytecode interpreter on
                    Solaris
           Product: xorg
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Sun
        OS/Version: Solaris
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: cvs
        AssignedTo: xorg at freedesktop.org
        ReportedBy: roland.mainz at nrubsig.org
                CC: alan.coopersmith at sun.com

RFE: Enable the FreeType2 bytecode interpreter on Solaris.
Sun uses an own font engine for Solaris/Xsun to rasterize TrueType fonts which
seems to have the bytecode interpreter enabled.
The question is now: Is that license for the bytecode interpreter for "Solaris"
in general or only for the Xsun code in xc/lib/font/TrueType/ ?
If the license applies to "Solaris" in general I suggest to turn the bytecode
interpreter on (otherwise a bunch of fonts shipped with Solaris (like those for
the Korean locale) look like squished chicken footprints).
