Did you set the KAA_OFFSCREEN_PIXMAPS bit in the flags?

The pixmap creation code automatically sets the devPrivates field for 
preallocated per-pixmap data (that requested by AllocatePixmapPrivate).  

Look at kaaDrawInit to see how that gets set up.
