[Xorg] Fontserver in Autotooled KDrive

Hello!

I hope that this is the right place for this question. With all those
different XServers around I'm getting a bit confused.

I'm tryiung to use the autotooled version of KDrive via CVS as described
on: http://www.freedesktop.org/Software/xserver

I have the following X libs:
Xproto, XExtensions, FixesExt, Xau, xtrans, Xdmcp, X11 (configured with
--disable-ipv6 and --disable-unix-transport), Xfixes, Xfont, Xext,
Render, Xrender, Randr, Xrandr, CompositeExt, Xcomposite, PanoramiXExt,
xkbfile, DamageExt, Xdamage, ResourceExt

xserver itself is configured:
--enable-xkb --enable-dri --disable-unix-transport --disable-ipv6

I'm using the Xvia binary in a small embedded OS. When I set
"-fp tcp/aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd:7100" I get "Could not init font path element",
although I can get a TCP connection to this font server.

How can I get my font server to work? Am I missing some Libraries or
configuration options?

I found the poorly documented --with-fc option in Xfont, but when I set
this I get unresolved references, e.g. "_FontTransGetConnectionNumber",
for which grep can find no implementation in the whole CVS working
directory of xlibs or xserver/xserver. Where does this come from?

Greetings,
 Martin
