status and how to update, build documentation

A lot of the xorg documentation appears out-of-date, such as
xc/programs/Xserver/hw/xfree86/doc/sgml/NetBSD.sgml (note about
perl).

It appears that a lot of the docs are just regenerated with an updated
release version but the content not updated.

Some of the docs are in roff mdoc, roff ms format and others in
linuxdoc/sgml.

Also, the docs are stored in different locations. Will docs be moved to
their own single download? Or will docs be placed with the modular tree?

Is there any page or documentation that describes the process on how to
update and build the documentation?

Is there a webpage or list of what needs to be done?

Instead of working on old formats, is there any consensus to move to a new
or different format? (Where is this discussed?)

Does anyone currently publish any of the xorg provided documentation in
print form?

Any ideas on how to get the man.PS to include a table of
contents and page numbers that don't reset after each new man page?

What about a table of contents for xlib.PS?
