That's interesting... I forwarded your message to the YDL people, and  
hopefully they'll provide new rpm's soon. Otherwise, I'll have to do that  
myself :-/

BTW, do these fixes explain why kernel 2.4 works, and 2.6 doesn't? My  
(naive) assumption was that xorg is running fine, but "something" in ppc  
2.6 behaves differently than ppc 2.4, causing the problem.
