[Xorg] xv issue -

Has any progress been made on the bug discussed here?

http://freedesktop.org/pipermail/xorg/2004-July/001282.html

Capture: Hauppauge PVR-250
Display: Voodoo3 3000 AGP 16MB

I'm running MythTV 0.15.1, and when I leave xv enabled and play live
television, I get resource allocation errors dumped to the console.
Even if I kick the encoding and playback down to 160x160, the same
errors arrive.

However, from within Myth:
  * mplayer (using -vo xv) plays dvd's just fine
  * mplayer (using -vo xv) plays pre-recorded videos fine (dumped from
"cat /dev/video0 > test.mpg")

People report that this was not an issue in XFree, and I'd rather not
throw in my heavy duty 3D card simply because it has 128MB video ram.

Thanks for the help.

Josh
