It's a library versioning issue. OpenBSD/amd64
doesn't understand the 3 number versioning scheme used by fontconfig.
I've a patch for that in OpenBSDLib.tmpl, but I'm currently not able to 
commit to
freedesktop.org (ssh connection refused). This patch is attached below 
if someone
wants to commit it before my net connectivity gets fixed.
