xorg/lib/Xext/configure.ac and Xau?

I raised this issue week ago and as Kristian Høgsberg wrote¹ it would be 
better to move some bits to the X11 proto module instead of making 
dependency on a library.

BTW does anybody know what's the status of Kerberos support in libXau? 
In lib/Xau/configure.ac there are these lines:

	kerberos=false
	AM_CONDITIONAL(KERBEROS, test x$kerberos = xtrue)

so it's disabled by default. Is it going to stay in this way in the 
final X.Org X11R7 release?
