OK, I've looked at it now, and I'm going to veto its inclusion.  If you
have issues with libtool, take it up with libtool upstream, and convince
them to merge it; at that point, it will flow to us.

Next time you submit patches, please make them easier to access, and
include explanations of your patches.  What is this actually for?

(And why is the patching so incredibly inconsistent?)
