Greetings,

As anyone watching our GIT repository [1] probably noticed, there has
been a major refactoring of the autoconf scripts and an equally
important cleanup of unused macros in xf86-video-geode. Additionally,
backward-compatibility code that relies upon deprecated Linux kernels
(e.g. V4Lv1) has been removed. The main goal behind these changes was
to increase portability (among other things, to make this code compile
under FreeBSD) and to bulletproof our build scripts.

You are hereby invited to test the results ASAP.

So far, the changes have been validated on Debian/stable (Artec DBE61
thin client and Hercules EC-800 laptop; xserver 1.7.7) and on
Ubuntu/Precise (FIC ION603A desktop; xserver 1.10.4).

However, I currently don't have access to an OLPC XO-1 or to any GX2
Red Cloud -based hardware and thus I am unable to check for any
regression on these.

Basically, if I don't hear of any regression, I'll release what's in
GIT as xf86-video-geode 2.11.13 by Christmas.

Best Regards,
Martin-Éric
