You probably need to run ./autogen.sh to re-generate dependencies
suitable for Hardy:

$ sudo aptitude -y install autoconf automake libtool
$ sudo apt-get -y build-dep xserver-xorg-video-geode
$ cd xserver-xorg-video-geode-2.11.3
$ ./autogen.sh
$ debuild -uc -us

Please try this and let us know if it worked.
