Yep. The only purpose of this patch is to prevent the artifacts (which occurred
due to reading beyond the end of the gamma LUT).

Does the Civilization VI cursor work correctly with it? If so, maybe it has a
quirk database for broken applications. I don't know any other way to work
around Civilization VI without breaking other apps at this point.</pre>
