Assuming radeonsi is also affected in windowed, this is indeed how things are
with Xorg. The only ways to reliably avoid tearing are:
* If the application runs fullscreen and can use page flipping
* If a compositing manager is used, which can use page flipping
* By enabling TearFree</pre>
