Unfortunately it is not so easy to do.
Distribution - Gentoo: versions of xorg-server and xf86-video-ati tied
together.
For xorg-server-1.18.4 version <xf86-video-ati-7.6.1 is unsuitable.
For bisect: I do not have a computer for such long-term experiments.
