I've been able to reproduce the problem and confirm that the XCB patch doesn't
help.

It looks like the game's processing of input events is delayed somehow. I don't
think this can be caused directly by the video driver (and it happens with the
generic modesetting driver as well), so reassigning to the X server for now.
