Please attach your full dmesg output after it happens as well.  What secondary
connector are you using (VGA, DVI)?  It may be an issue with the drm display
polling for non-hotplug capable displays (likfe VGA).  Does adding
drm_kms_helper.poll=0 on the kernel command line in grub help?
