tested here on a 3.12-5 archlinux kernel (latest at time of writing)
i only aplied the possible fix of FatalSaint.

I can confuirm that glxgears and dungien siege 2 (a game in wine) runs perfect
along with my xfce4 envirement.

Although more testing could be needed, this patch does the trick for me too!
