It would be useful if you could do one or both of:

* Attach a full backtrace from gdb, with the xserver-xorg-video-radeon-dbg and
xserver-xorg-core-dbg packages installed.

* Try upstream xf86-video-ati Git master and xserver Git server-1.14-branch to
see if they work any better.
